What is Structured Problem Solving?

Structured Problem Solving provides a systematic approach to advance from the identification of a problem to the solution.

The structured problem solving process known as 4D’s also exemplifies the instructional shift in digital learning:

  • Define the problem
  • Design the solution
  • Do the work
  • Debrief on the outcome

By following the 4 D’s, one will achieve a step-by-step structured process for resolving problems that can be useful in any area of your life.
